Dear Visitors,
I would like to welcome you to Stafford MSD. I am very grateful to begin my 5th year at Stafford.   I look forward to another exciting and productive year.  I look forward to meeting and getting to know you.   I am passionate about teaching and educating our children.  Every student who enters my room will receive a quality education.  I became a teacher because I recall how much  I enjoyed my teachers as child.  I want to give to students what was given to me.

I was born and raised in Louisiana where I graduated from Southern University of New Orleans. I received my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education.   Additionally, I obtained my Master's degree in  Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis on reading from Grand Canyon University.    I taught first grade for 8 years in Louisiana before moving to Texas.  I am a published author in the book One Size Does Not Fit All, which addresses diversity in the classroom.   I do not have any kids and my hobbies include working out,  reading, and shopping.  I also consider myself to be a foodie.   I am also former body building athlete and I am currently a half marathon athlete.  I did run the Houston Half Marathon this year.

If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, or would like to visit our classroom, schedule a conference, please feel free to use Class Dojo or email me jchesser@staffordmsd.org .

Sincerely,
Ms. Johanna Chesser M.ED
